How we choose products

Escolha Miau's methodology: where the information in our guides comes from, how we pick products and the limits of our reviews.

Our criteria#

1. The cat’s welfare comes first. We start from guidance published by feline-welfare and veterinary organizations and cite the sources in every guide.
2. Verifiable specs only. We list only features that appear on the manufacturer’s page or the Amazon listing. If we can’t find a detail, we say it isn’t published.
3. Real products you can buy. We recommend products we found for sale on Amazon.com, with the ASIN checked on the product page.
4. No fixed prices. Prices change every day, so we show a “check current price” button instead of a number that could be out of date.

Limits#

• We don’t run lab tests or long-term use tests.
• Buyer reviews are individual reports; we use them to spot patterns (for example, many complaints about noise), not as proof.
• Ratings and review counts are a snapshot from the day we checked the listing and will change.
• Nothing here replaces a visit to your veterinarian.
